Trinity Kids

Here at Trinity, children are warmly welcomed as participating members of the church. We are committed not only to their spiritual formation but also to respecting their natural capacity for wonder and curiosity.
Our program is led by Mother Wendy Dixon who has decades of experience shepherding children.

In order to nurture children’s growth in the knowledge of God’s love for them, Trinity uses an Anglican children’s program called God’s Big Story. This program is respectful of children’s intelligence, ability to ask questions, and sense of wonder. In addition, God’s Big Story uses the brain’s preference for narrative to tell the greatest story: God sending His Son to rescue His children. The stories are told each week using visual and interactive methods and providing time for meditation and response. You can learn more here: https://www.anglicannetwork.ca/gods-big-story

On Sundays, children begin by worshiping with the congregation, process out before the sermon for their time of formation, and return to the service for eucharist with their families. (Nursery 0-4; Elementary 5-12.)

Safety: Our first priority is your children’s safety, which we maintain through regular background checks and training of all who work with children and youth.
We also follow best practices for church ministry to children and youth. Here is a link to the Policy Manual for the Protection of Children and Youth
