Jane Mwikali Mwangangi

Jane Mwikali Mwangangi is the Kenya Country Director for the Kijabe Children’s Educational Fund. She is a community development practitioner from Kenya whose life and work have been shaped by a deep love for people who are often overlooked. For more than a decade, she has worked alongside vulnerable communities across Kenya, with a particular passion for children, girls, education, and the development of local communities.

Jane founded Metameta Foundation, a girl-child initiative serving pastoralist communities in Kenya, and has worked in community development, advocacy, and youth engagement with organizations including Life in Abundance and AMREF Health Africa. She joined Kijabe Children's Educational Fund in 2022 and currently serves as its Kenya Country Director, walking alongside the local leaders of KCEF's partner schools as they work to strengthen their schools and create better opportunities for the children and communities they serve.

At the center of Jane's work is a simple conviction: every person has God-given dignity and potential. She believes that development is not simply about giving people what they lack, but about walking with them in a way that helps restore dignity, strengthen communities, and open doors to opportunity.

Her Christian faith is the foundation of her work. Motivated by the love of Jesus for the poor, the vulnerable, and the overlooked, Jane considers it a privilege to serve her own people and to play a small part in what God is doing in Kenya and across Africa.
